In most cases, your handrail can remain intact, and your staircase will remain safely walkable. Thanks to the thinnest single rail in the world and our Reverse Drive Technology, this elegant stairlift can even be installed on very narrow staircases. Installation is possible on staircases as narrow as 27 inches.

Thanks to the smart Reverse Drive Technology, the chair can move partially or fully backward, ensuring your knees never hit the wall, even on very narrow staircases.

It features the world’s thinnest single rail and includes a smart dashboard for easy operation. The seat is ergonomically designed for comfort, swivels automatically, and has a footrest that folds automatically. In addition, the stairlift can be installed directly onto your steps.
The Otolift Modul-Air Smart is suitable for straight stairs, stairs with curves, and spiral or helical stairs. The stairlift can be installed on very narrow staircases, starting from just 70 cm wide. It is flexible enough to be mounted on either the inner or outer side of the staircase, often allowing the existing handrail to remain in place.
All our stairlifts have a compact design, so they take up very little space on your stairs. If you choose the Otolift Modul-Air Smart and have it installed on the inner side of your staircase, the wide part of the steps will remain free, and in most cases, your handrail can stay in place. As a result, the staircase remains safely walkable for all users.
